Santa Claus is coming to Glashütte
The independent Glashütte manufactory Grossmann Uhren proves that Christmas cheer and refined elegance work together in the most beautiful, elegant way. To mark its 10th anniversary, the Glashütte watch specialists present the unique ATUM Pure Santa Claus.
The ATUM Pure Santa Claus combines the joy of exceptional design with the frosty winter landscape of the Ore Mountains, which runs through Glashütte, Moritz Grossmann’s home. The stainless steel dial features cut-outs with Santa Claus on his sleigh drawn by the beloved reindeer, Rudolph. The cold, starry night scene is sprinkled with snow-covered fir trees and punctuated by a beautiful crescent moon.
The hands of the ATUM Pure Santa Claus are handcrafted from stainless steel, flat polished and filled with red HyCeram. These Christmas colours correspond to the eight indices that glow silver and red on the wide outer ring of the dial. Completing this design is a pine green leather strap.
In the Ore Mountains and Glashütte, Christmas has always played an important role in everyone’s lives. With its romantic winter landscape and richly decorated, brightly lit houses, it is a joy to behold the bright lights and Christmas decorations, which include the Christmas pyramid, candle arches, angels and miners, nutcrackers and incense smokers, which were once invented and made by hand in traditional woodworking workshops.
The movement is the calibre 201.1 in a pure classic finish. The Moritz Grossmann brand manufactures timepieces to the highest standard of craftsmanship. Under the heading ‘Schönstes deutsches Handwerk’, traditional precision mechanics are combined with state-of-the-art construction and finishing methods. The ATUM Pure Santa Claus is offered as a single edition 1 of 1.
