The young manufactory attracts notice, Moritz Grossmann is once again a topic of conversation in Glashütte and on the international watch scene. The new building on Uferstraße 1 is officially inaugurated with great media attention and in the presence of the then Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony, Stanislaw Tillich. The story of the revival of the name Moritz Grossmann fascinates and attracts great media interest. Christine Hutter, the Mistress of Time (FAZ), tells this story over and again. As the only woman at the head of an independent watch manufactory, she causes a sensation in the industry and awareness of the new brand grows. The manufactory building embodies the passion and seriousness of this undertaking. And the watches speak for themselves: the BENU, which is sold out after a short time, is followed by the second model line ATUM, the BENU Power Reserve and the BENU Tourbillon. Grossmann’s watchmakers present two patentable developments: the stop-seconds mechanism with brush made from hair and the double minute display. 2013 is the year of knowledge. In just five years, the manufactory has proven that it is a presence to be taken seriously.
